Well, well, well. All it takes is a quick clean of my entire wing to find the CD that has the dreamweaver software on it, and then I can fix my broken copy until the cows come home. So, for those of you that couldn't decipher that little bit of madness: my copy of Dreamweaver broke. That meant that for two months, I couldn't make any updates to the website at all because the program was corrupted. Well, with the start of summer, I completely cleaned my room/gameroom/hall closets/room closet, and it was while I was searching through old boxes in my room closet that I stumbled upon the CD with the program on it. Apparently we were playing hide and seek, and I didn't even know it. So I loaded it in, fixed the program, and finished a new comic in under 24 hours, which is really amazing for me. I think that the quality of the comic suffered as a consequence, but I also think that has to do with the crappy paper and the crappy drawing surface and overall sense of rush that accompanied this comic. But bottom line is: I'm back. You can expect the once a week comic that you've all come to know and love. That format might change, though, once this chapter is done. In the absence of the weekly Reptile Guard to draw, I've been cranking out tons and tons of digital art that you can all view at my deviantArt page. One, or, well, a couple of the most important things I've drawn is a couple of multi page comics in a new digital format. I'm involved in a contest right now that focuses on practicing five-page comics, and it's those comics that I've been spending the majority of my drawing time on. And the results are, I think, not that bad. It makes me realize that if I wanted to, I could do Reptile Guard in the new digital format and get the comics out more frequently. I'm still not sure, though, so if you have an opinion on the subject, just drop me a line (or drop me a line in one of the many other ways to reach me). And that will about do it for this news update. A special welcome to new reader/friend, Steph, and a heydilly ho to my friends that are across the Atlantic. Hope you check the comic while your over there. Peace out. |
