Well, I've been rather prolific lately with my art stuff in general. Not so much in the last couple days, but for the last week or so, I'd say yeah. Part of it is that drawing makes a very good and relaxing study break, and part of it is that I'm starting to get the hang of things that I didn't really know how to do before.

A good example of a new art skill is, well, drawing with a pen. I recently was turned onto a certain type of pen by my friend, Enid, and I have to say, it's freakin' awesome. It's just a cheap Pilot Precise V5 Extra Fine pen, but it just gives you some very awesome lines that are smooth and sexy. The second thing I drew with it was already a hit, and you can see it here. This brings me to my next skill that I aquired, which is coloring in photoshop. On that link I just gave, there's a link to the colored version of the work, and it looks awesome. Photoshop takes a little bit off of the inside of the line if you're just coloring in the segments, but I might look into figuring out how to map all the white to transparent and coloring on a layer underneath. That would be totally groovy tunes, because it makes coloring go a lot faster and look a lot more professional. And we all know I'm always looking for ways to make Reptile Guard a more frequent occurrence...

But enough with this news update. The beast of Finals is looming over my head, and I can do nothing but bravely march into battle against it. "Madness? This is Spartaaaaaaa!"
