Well, the Notre Dame trip could have been better. True, it was an amazing trip, but when the entire focus of the trip, which is the game, just goes as badly as it did, it's a little dissapointing. For those of you who don't follow college football: ucla was beating Notre Dame, at Notre Dame, for 59 minutes of the game. Then with 27 seconds left, Notre Dame scored the winning touchdown that totally null and voided all the hard work the team had put in for the rest of the game, and that's really depressing. There were so many 'if only's that would have caused us to win, but we lost. So that was the depressing part. That and our dismal per diem, but that's another story.

Besides that the trip was pretty fun. Half time went amazingly well. You can see the halftime show if you click on this link. The audio isn't completely amazing, but you can see me briefly every once in a while. I'm the snare farthest on the left of the screen. If we play like that next week at the exhibition show we're playing at next week, we'll definitely draw a few people to ucla because of the band. So I'm excited about that. We also got to walk around downtown Chicago while we were there, and that was kind of fun. We had the normal "figure out public transportation" adventure that comes with the different trips we take to different places, and, like always, I was able to lead my group of people home relatively quickly and cheaply. So yay for the Notre Dame trip.

And yay for the football game that's coming next week. I am definitely looking forward to playing the halftime show dressed up as Napoleon Dynamite. :-3
