New News

I know, I know, it's a little late, but you know, better late than never. I'm really happy that I took the extra time to make it a longer comic. I'm really happy with how it turned out. I especially like giving everyone a little peak into Guard Turtles younger days (way younger).

But anyways, on to more important matters. Since I'm supposed to be using this as a xangaish entry (I'm being strong armed into that one), I'll update you guys on the life of the cartoonist. Two days ago I went up to ucla and played for the football game (which is mainly why the comic is late), and it was fun. It was an awesome chop builder and when I was playing yesterday, everything automatically sounded better because my chops were closer to their original strength (that's a good thing). It felt good to be back at the heart of school spirit. 'Cause you can't beat the spirit rousing capabilities of the band, the yell crew, or Geoff Strand (the living legend). I can't wait to move back into the dorms, which happens in 5 days. I can't even begin to type the excitement that I'm feeling because it wouldn't do it justice.

Going along with the end of summer, I finished work last Friday. That feels good. I'm just hoping that my last paycheck will hold me over for the Fall quarter. I have one more paycheck waiting for me at north campus (it came during the summer?) so that'll add a little bit to my checking account. But I will be eating out a lot less than I did during the last two quarters, 'cause I can't really get a job with band in the way. Speaking of band in the way, I should probably get started on next week's comic, because I don't have Sunday to work all day on it.

But before I go, I have to remind everyone that it is the five year anniversary of the September 11 attack on the world trade center. This was an event that changed the world as we know it, and it would be disrespectful to those innocent people who died if the day was forgotten. I remember that morning well. I was biking past Alex Buck's house to pick him up, and he said some airplane had crashed into the world trade center. I thought he meant a little propeller plane, but when I got to school, every class was a buzz with what was going on. I remember Mr. Madrid trying to make a makeshift antenae so that he could hear the radio news of what was going on from inside his class room. It was a sorrowful day for everyone, especially those who lost loved ones and relatives. So, if you haven't done so today, please remember to pray for the victims and their families, especially on this day.

And with that somber note, I'm ending the new news for the week.

Cya next Monday (I hope).

Oh, and don't forget to check out the latest Reptile Guard Mini.
