Well, Summer is wrapping up here for the creator of Reptile Guard. And this means a lot of things in a lot of different areas of life. My job is wrapping up, and my boss is trying to get as much use out of me as he can in this last week, so I'm working 28 hours instead of 20. My friends have mostly gone to their respective schools, and I'll be seeing my ucla friends shortly. Band camp is coming up, with is 9 Am - 9 Pm schedule of awesomeness. Ah, it's a good time of year. But all of these awesomenesses that come with the beggining of the school year also bring about a hectic feeling here at Reptile Gaurd, as I search ravenously for hours in which to complete my comics. It looks, as of now, that I won't have to skip any publish dates, but that's with my plan of drawing a couple of comic ahead of time to publish during band camp. But if push comes to shove, percussion will take precedence during those precarious two weeks. I don't know really why I'm saying all this. It just seems fair to warn everyone ahead of time that there might be a lapse of comics two weeks from now. But I'm going to do everything I can to not have to do that. So, what else is new in the life of the cartoonist? I went last Thursday on a road trip up to Sequoia national park, again. This time I brought along my good friend Meghan, and the two of us went up to pick my other good friend, Sarah, up from the camp she was working at all summer. The 12 hours of driving really flew by, and it was really fun to hang out with my friends in the car all day. That IHOP breakfast was really good. Oh, I know something else that's happened in the life of the cartoonist. I've started my attempt to break into voice acting. I already got cast in a part for a flash movie someone is making for Newgrounds about Pikmin. I don't think the movie will do very well, but I'm lending my voice talents to help out the movie creator. This lead me to sign up with a voice acting message board, and I've auditioned for a couple of other parts there. It's exciting for me, and I'm surprised at the good quality recordings I can get from my simple microphone and sound recorder. I'm working on making a little exhibition type showcase of my different voices and accents, and I'll post it when I'm finished. But anyway, if you're a flash producer, or any other type of producer who needs a voice actor, don't hesitate to ask me. I still do all my work for free (and will for quite a while, probably -_- ) Anyway, that's all. How's that for a Xanga ish entry, Ms. Meg-han? Peace out! Oh, and Happy Labor Day. |
