Yes, you're correct: I had to skip the comic last week due to finals week followed by a weekend of me moving my life from one room up in LA to a room down here in Fullerton. That's it in a nutshell. So I'm not gonna dwell on the skipped week, especially because another successful weekly webcomic, Alien Loves Predator, also skipped last week. So that makes me feel not as bad. But back to the whole "Moving my life" thing. It went rather well. I moved home a week ago from Friday, and my room still has a large pile of clothes to be hung up in my closet and the remenants of a large industrial strength trash bag that holds a bit of the stuff I packed. Yeah, I didn't have any boxes, so I just stole some huge trash bags from the garbage chute room and packed everything into those. Rather handy and rather Tommy Boy all at the same time. But now that I realize how little need I have of the lifetime of crap that has accrued in my room, I'm getting rid of a whole lot of stuff at the same time as I'm moving in. Like I have this toychest that was only being used for books, really, and now that the wall unit in the game room has been cleared of all my Bionicle sets (don't ask, it's a sickness), the shelves have been left clear for the books. Then I can get rid of the toy chest and the broken dresser and move the non broken dresser into the toy chest's old spot and move the rowing machine into the garage and get the drums moved from the game room back into my room and then mi madre can turn the game room into that guest room she's always wanted. Whew, that sounds like a whole bunch, huh? Meh, not really. But yeah, it's just wierd to be back in my room at home. It feels like home, but not at the same time. I miss all my friends I made in college so far, even though I'll be seeing them all next year, but it is nice to see my friends from High school and my old church and stuff like that. I got a really enthusiastic greeting from an old youth group friend at Church this week. Megan kinda gave me a jumping hug that I knew was coming, so I was able to catch her pretty easily (she's tiny). But yeah, while not all of my greetings have been that enthusiastic, it's nice to see everyone that I've been missing for a year. Ok, well, I gotta go and work more on moving in. Hope you all enjoy the comic. Reptile Guard now also has a wikipedia page, created using the comixpedia page, so that's exciting. Cya. |
